Jolie, a big, friendly Burmese mountain dog, will represent Loudoun County and her breed at the 2016 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York on Feb. 16. The 4-year-old Ashburn dog, who happens to be the number one female Burmese mountain dog in the United States, will be showing for conformation in the working group.

Northern Virginia is the fastest growing metropolitan area in the state, according to 2015 population estimates from the University of Virginia's The population increased by 8.7 percent, adding 232,297 residents over the past five years, bringing the total to 2,909,438, the center estimates. Loudoun County grew the fastest, with a population boom of nearly 20 percent.
